GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Joseph M. Cosumano Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commanding general, U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Arlington, Va.
Cosumano is currently serving as the assistant deputy chief of staff for Operations and Plans for Force Development, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
