GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Joseph K. Kellogg Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director of Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) Systems, J-6, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Kellogg is currently serving as the assistant deputy chief of staff for Operations and Plans, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
