GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Charles R. Holland, for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as commander in chief, United States Special Operations Command, MacDill AFB, Fla. Holland is currently assigned as vice commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein AB, Germany.
