FOURTH MEMBER ADDED TO V-22 REVIEW PANEL
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen today announced that Eugene E. Covert, professor emeritus of aeronautics and astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has joined the independent panel reviewing the V-22 program.
The panel, chaired by retired Marine Gen. John R. Dailey, is to conduct a high level review of the program, to include safety of the aircraft, and recommend proposed corrective actions. Cohen directed the panel to complete its review "as soon as possible."
