FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Navy Captain Christopher C. Ames has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Ames is currently serving as commander, Amphibious Squadron Three, San Diego, Calif.

Navy Captain Michael C. Bachmann has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Bachmann is currently serving as executive director for Aviation Depots, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md.

Navy Captain Reubin B. Bookert has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Bookert is currently serving as head, Amphibious Warfare Branch, N753, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Stanley D. Bozin has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Bozin is currently serving as head, Appropriations Matters Office, Office of Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Financial Management, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Jeffrey A. Brooks has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Brooks is currently serving as supervisor of shipbuilding, Newport News, Va.

Navy Captain Charles T. Bush has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Bush is currently serving as program manager, DD 21, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain John D. Butler has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Butler is currently serving as executive assistant, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Jeffrey B. Cassias has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Cassias is currently serving as executive assistant, Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate, J8, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Bruce W. Clingan has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Clingan is currently serving as commanding officer, USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Bremerton, Wash.

Navy Captain Donna L. Crisp has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Crisp is currently serving as executive assistant to the deputy commander in chief, U. S. Transportation Command, Scott AFB, Ill.

Navy Captain William D. Crowder has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Crowder is currently serving as executive assistant to the vice chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Patrick W. Dunne has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Dunne is currently serving as deputy chief of Legislative Affairs, Office of Legislative Affairs, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain David A. Gove has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Gove is currently serving as executive assistant to the chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Richard D. Jaskot has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Jaskot is currently serving as strategic studies group fellow, Naval War College, Newport, R.I.

Navy Captain Robert D. Jenkins III has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Jenkins is currently serving as strategic studies group fellow, Naval War College, Newport, R.I.

Navy Captain Stephen E. Johnson has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Johnson is currently serving as program manager, SSN 21, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Gary R. Jones has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Jones is currently serving as chief of staff to the commander, Naval Air Force, U. S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.

Navy Captain James D. Kelly has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Kelly is currently serving as commanding officer, USS Constellation (CV 64), San Diego, Calif.

Navy Captain Donald P. Loren has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Loren is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander, U. S. Naval Forces Europe, Naples, Italy.

Navy Captain Joseph Maguire has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Maguire is currently serving as deputy commander, Naval Special Warfare Command, San Diego, Calif.

Navy Captain Robert T. Moeller has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Moeller is currently serving as commanding officer, Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Newport, R.I.

Navy Captain Robert B. Murrett has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Murrett is currently serving as commander, Joint Forces Intelligence Command, Norfolk, Va.

Navy Captain Robert D. Reilly, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Reilly is currently serving as division chief, Pacific Command Division, J3, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Jacob L. Shuford has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Shuford is currently serving as director, Navy Senate Liaison, Office of Legislative Affairs, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Paul S. Stanley has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Stanley is currently serving as chief, Program and Budget Analysis Division, J8, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Navy Captain Patrick M. Walsh has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral (lower half). Walsh is currently serving as executive assistant to the chief of Naval Personnel, Washington, D.C.
