GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Wallace C. Gregson, Jr., for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan. Gregson is currently serving as the commanding general, 3rd Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan.
