FLAG OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced today the following assignments:

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (select) Michael C. Bachmann is being assigned as commander, Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif. Bachmann is currently serving as executive director, Aviation Depots, AIR-6.0, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (select) Reubin B. Bookert is being assigned as deputy director, Expeditionary Warfare, N75B, OPNAV, Washington, D.C. Bookert is currently serving as head, Amphibious Warfare Branch, N753, OPNAV, Washington, D.C.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (select) Jeffrey B. Cassias is being assigned as commander, Logistics Group, Western Pacific; commander, Task Force 73; and commander, Task Force 712, Singapore. Cassias is currently serving as executive assistant to the director, Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, J-8, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (select) Patrick W. Dunne is being assigned as commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Marianas, and U.S. Pacific Command representative, Guam. Dunne is currently serving as deputy chief, Legislative Affairs, Washington, D.C.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Tom S. Fellin is being assigned as deputy commander, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif. Fellin is currently serving as commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Marianas, and U.S. Pacific Command representative, Guam.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (select) Donald P. Loren is being assigned as head, Theater Air Warfare Branch, N765, OPNAV, Washington, D.C. Loren is currently serving as executive assistant, commander in chief, U.S. Naval Forces Europe.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Willie C. Marsh is being assigned as commander, Amphibious Group Three. Marsh is currently serving as deputy director, Expeditionary Warfare, N75B, OPNAV, Washington, D.C.
