FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Vice Admiral William C. Bowes, U.S. Navy, for reappointment to the
grade of vice admiral and assignment as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of
the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) in The Pentagon, Washington,
DC.
Vice Admiral Bowes is currently serving as Commander Naval Air Systems
Command in Arlington, Virginia.
Vice Admiral Bowes was born February 21, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York.
