FLAG AND GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. Douglas V. O'Dell, Jr., for appointment to the grade of major general. O'Dell is currently serving as commanding general, Fourth Marine Expeditionary Brigade (Anti-Terrorism), Camp Lejeune, N.C.
REAR ADMIRAL (LOWER HALF)
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced today that Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Paul S. Schultz is being assigned as deputy commander, Military Sealift Command. Schultz is currently serving as commander, Amphibious Group One.
