FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) Robert M. Clark has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as commander, Amphibious Operations, Commander Second Fleet, Norfolk, Va.

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) Mark M. Hazara has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as deputy assistant commander, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md.

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) John R. Hines, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as deputy commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) Stephen B. Kantrowitz, Judge Advocate General's Corps, has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as assistant judge advocate general for operations, Navy Judge Advocate General, Washington, D.C.

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) James Manzelmann Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as commander, Naval Reserve Intelligence Command, Fort Worth, Texas.

Naval Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) Noel G. Preston has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral while serving as deputy director of Naval Reserve, Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
