GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Richard L. Kelly for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as the deputy commandant for installations and logistics, Washington, D.C. Kelly is currently serving as the vice-director for logistics, J-4, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
