FLAG AND GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUCEMENTS

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Erik K. Shinseki announced today the following assignments:

Army Maj. Gen. Anders B. Aadland is being assigned as director, Installation Management Agency, Arlington, Va. Aadland is currently serving as commanding general, U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center and Fort Leonard Wood and commandant, U.S. Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Army Maj. Gen. James J. Lovelace, Jr. is being assigned as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Lovelace is currently serving as commanding general, U.S. Army Alaska and deputy commander, U.S. Alaskan Command, Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Army Maj. Gen. Larry J. Lust is being assigned as assistant chief of staff for installation management, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Lust is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-4, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.

Army Brig. Gen. (Promotable) David H. Huntoon, Jr. is being assigned as director of strategy, plans and policy, office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Huntoon is currently serving as deputy commandant, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

Army Brig. Gen. (Promotable) Thomas R. Turner II is being assigned as commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force (Airborne), Italy. Turner is currently serving as deputy U.S. military representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Committee, Belgium.

BRIGADIER GENERALS

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Erik K. Shinseki announced today the following assignments:

Army Brig. Gen. Robert L. Decker is being assigned as commanding general, U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center, Alexandria, Va. Decker is currently serving as assistant division commander (Support), 1st Armored Division, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.

Army Brig. Gen. William C. Feyk is being assigned as deputy commanding general and chief of staff, U.S. Army Accessions Command, Fort Monroe, Va. Feyk is currently serving as deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Monroe.

Army Brig. Gen. Leslie L. Fuller is being assigned as deputy commanding general (East), U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, Ky. Fuller is currently serving as commander, Special Operations Command Europe, U.S. European Command, Germany.

Army Brig. Gen. Robert E. Gaylord is being assigned as deputy chief, Public Affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C. Gaylord is currently serving as deputy commanding general (East), U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, Ky.

Army Brig. Gen. Thomas R. Goedkoop is being assigned as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7 (Readiness), U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Goedkoop is currently serving as assistant division commander (Support), 10th Mountain Division (Light), Fort Drum, N.Y.

Army Brig. Gen. David F. Gross is being assigned as deputy commanding general for Operations, Third U.S. Army, Fort McPherson, Ga. Gross is currently serving as assistant division commander (Maneuver), 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Riley, Kan.

Army Brig. Gen. James A. Kelley is being assigned as chief of staff, U.S. Army Reserve Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Kelley is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7 (Readiness), U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson.

Army Brig. Gen. Timothy D. Livsey is being assigned as deputy commanding general, Combined Arms Center (Combined Arms Training), U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Livsey is currently serving as deputy chief, Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C.

Army Brig. Gen. Guy C. Swan III is being assigned as deputy chief, Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C. Swan is currently serving as commanding general, 7th Army Training Command, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.

Army Brig. Gen. Antonio M. Taguba is being assigned as director of management and vice director of the Army Staff, Washington, D.C. Taguba is currently serving as commanding general, U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center, Alexandria, Va.

REAR ADMIRALS (LOWER HALF)

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Navy Capt. Gregory R. Bryant has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Bryant is currently serving as commander, Naval Shipyard Puget Sound, Bremerton, Wash.

Navy Capt. Robert J. Cox has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Cox is currently serving as executive assistant to the deputy chief of naval operations for warfare requirements and programs, N7A, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Navy Capt. Derwood C. Curtis has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Curtis is currently serving as executive assistant to the secretary of the Navy, Washington, D.C.

Navy Capt. Peter H. Daly has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Daly is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander in chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Navy Capt. Kenneth W. Deutsch has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Deutsch is currently serving as head, Communications and Computer Networks Division, J6, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Navy Capt. Mark T. Emerson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Emerson is currently serving as executive assistant to the supreme allied commander Europe, Mons, Belgium

Navy Capt. Jeffrey L. Fowler has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Fowler is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander in chief, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.

Navy Capt. John S. Godlewski has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Godlewski is currently serving as chief of staff, Commander Second Fleet, Norfolk, Va.

Navy Capt. Garry E. Hall has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Hall is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego.

Navy Capt. Leendert R. Hering, Sr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Hering is currently serving as commanding officer, Naval Station San Diego.
