GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Lt. Gen. James T. Hill, for appointment to the rank of general with assignment as commander, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla. Hill is currently serving as the commanding general, I Corps and Fort Lewis, Fort Lewis, Wash.
MAJOR GENERAL
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Brig. Gen. Kenneth L. Farmer, Jr., for appointment to the rank of major general. Farmer is currently serving as the commanding general, Western Regional Medical Command and lead agent, TRICARE Region 11, Tacoma, Wash.
