FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Richard J. Naughton for appointment to the rank of vice admiral with assignment as superintendent, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. Naughton is currently serving as commander, Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, Fallon, Nev.
