GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Lieutenant General Dale W. Thompson, Jr., United States Air Force,
for advancement on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant general.
General Thompson is currently serving as Vice Commander, Air Force Materiel
Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
General Thompson was born February 2, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
