FLAG OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) William D. Crowder is being assigned as director, Naval Operations Group, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Crowder is currently serving as director, Current Operations and Politico-Military Affairs, N31 and N52, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) James G. Stavridis is being assigned as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group Twelve and commander, Naval Surface Group Two. Stavridis is currently assigned as director, Naval Operations Group, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
