GENERAL OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS
Army Chief of Staff Eric K. Shinseki announced today the following assignments:
Army Maj. Gen. Gary D. Speer is being assigned as deputy chief of staff for Operations, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany. Speer is currently serving as acting commander, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Florida.
Army Maj. Gen. Terry L. Tucker is being assigned as deputy, The Inspector General, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C. Tucker is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for Operations, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.
