GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Robert T. Clark for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as commanding general, Fifth U.S. Army, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Clark is currently serving as the deputy commanding general, Fifth U.S. Army, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
