GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Robert W. Wagner for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Wagner is currently serving as the commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force (Airborne), Vicenza, Italy.
