The Defense Acquisition University (DAU), along with its president Frank J. Anderson Jr., received top honors at the Corporate University Best In Class (CUBIC) awards ceremony held in Orlando, Fla. Nov. 19, 2002. The event was part of Corporate University Week 2002, the industry's largest conference and exhibition devoted entirely to corporate universities.
DAU, the key training institution for the Department of Defense acquisition, technology, and logistics workforce, won in three organizational categories: Best Overall Corporate University, Best Virtual Corporate University and Best Use of Technology, and Most Innovative Corporate University (second place).
Anderson received the individual award of Corporate University Leader of the Year. He was recognized for his strategic role in determining how learning is driven and integrated throughout DAU and the workplace.
The CUBIC awards honor and recognize corporate universities that apply best practices. Criteria for the awards included alignment to organizational business strategy, blended learning adaptation, and integration of educational partners into the corporate university.
