GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated General Robert W. Yates, United States Air Force, for advancement on
the retired list in the grade of general. General Yates is currently serving as
Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
General Yates was born October 3, 1938, in Memphis, Tennessee.
