GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUCEMENT

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Edwin H. Roberts, Jr., for appointment to the rank of major general. Roberts is currently serving as deputy commanding general, Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va.
