GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Lieutenant General Billy J. Boles, United States Air Force, for
reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Vice
Commander, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
General Boles is also nominated for subsequent appointment to the grade of
general with assignment as Commander, Air Education and Training Command,
Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. General Boles is currently assigned as Deputy
Chief of Staff, Personnel, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon,
Washington DC.
General Boles was born July 27, 1938, in King, North Carolina.
