GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. John W. Rosa, Jr., for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as superintendent, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. Rosa is currently assigned as deputy director for current operations, J-3 Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
