DOD IDENTIFIES MARINE CASUALTY
The Department of Defense announced today that Cpl. Jason David Mileo, 20 of Centreville, Md., was shot and killed April 14 after being mistaken for an enemy soldier. Emergency personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene, but Mileo died on site in the vicinity of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
The incident is under investigation.
