FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Navy Adm. William J. Fallon for reappointment to the rank of admiral and assignment as commander, U.S. Atlantic Fleet and commander, Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Fallon is currently serving as Vice Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
