DOD IDENTIFIES AIR FORCE CASUALTY
The Department of Defense announced today that Staff Sgt. Patrick Lee Griffin Jr., 31, of Elgin, S.C., was killed in action May 13, 2003, near Diwaniyah, Iraq. Griffin was killed when his convoy was ambushed enroute to Baghdad.
Griffin was a data systems technician assigned to the 728th Air Control Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
