GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Major General John C. Griffith, United States Air Force, for
appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Vice
Commander, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
General Griffith is currently assigned as Commander, Second Air Force, Air
Education and Training Command, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.
General Griffith was born January 10, 1942, in Gadsden, Alabama.
