GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Lieutenant General James A. Fain, Jr., United States Air Force, for
advancement on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant general. Lieutenant
General Fain is currently assigned as Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, United
States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
Lieutenant General Fain was born July 6, 1941, in Ashland, Alabama.
