GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Lieutenant General Charles E. Dominy, United States Army, to be
placed on the retired list in his current grade. Lieutenant General Dominy
will retire after completion of more than 32 years of service. Since February
1992, he has been serving as the Director of the Army Staff, Washington, D.C.
Lieutenant General Dominy was born on June 4, 1940, in Arlington , Virginia.
