GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Major General Ralph E. Eberhart, United States Air Force, for
appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Deputy Chief
of Staff, Plans and Operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon,
Washington, DC. Major General Eberhart is currently assigned as the Director,
Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington,
DC.
Major General Eberhart was born December 26, 1946, in Nevada, Missouri.
