GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated General Charles G. Boyd, United States Air Force, for advancement on
the retired list in the grade of general. General Boyd is currently serving as
Deputy Commander in Chief, United States European Command, Vaihingen, Germany.
General Boyd was born April 15, 1938, in Rockwell City, Iowa.
