DOD ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF'S ANNUAL AWARD FOR INSTALLATIONEXCELLENCE
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry has announced the winners of the
Commander-In-Chief's Award for Installation Excellence. They are:
Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Ga.
Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif.
Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Ga.
Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa.
The Commander-In-Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence recognizes
the outstanding and innovative efforts of the people who operate and maintain
U. S. military installations. The five recipients of this highly competitive
award were selected for their great support of the Department of Defense
mission.
Each winning installation succeeded in providing excellent working, housing,
and recreational conditions. Excellent installations enable better mission
performance and enhance the quality of life for military men and women and
their families.
The Commander-In-Chief's award ceremony will be held at the Pentagon Parade
Field (lower level), Friday, May 12, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT).
