GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced on April 27, 1995, that the
President nominated Major General George A. Fisher Jr., United States Army, for
appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as Deputy
Commanding General/Chief of Staff, Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Georgia.
Since September 1993, he has served as the Commanding General, 25th Infantry
Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Major General Fisher was born on July 1, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
