GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William Perry announced today that the President has
nominated General James L. Jamerson, United States Air Force, for reappointment
to the grade of general with assignment as Deputy Commander in Chief, United
States European Command, Vaihingen, Germany. General Jamerson is currently
assigned as the Commander, Allied Air Forces Central Europe; Commander, United
States Air Forces in Europe; and Air Force Component Commander, United States
European Command, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
General Jamerson was born January 29, 1941, in Durham, North Carolina.
