FLAG OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:
REAR ADMIRAL
Navy Rear Adm. Christopher E. Weaver is being assigned as commander, Naval Installations, Washington, D.C. Weaver is currently assigned as commandant, Naval District Washington, Washington, D.C.
Navy Rear Adm. (select) John M. Kelly is being assigned as commander, Navy Warfare Development Command, Newport, R.I. Kelly is currently serving as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group Three, Everett, Wash.
REAR ADMIRAL (LOWER HALF)
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Paul S. Stanley is being assigned as commander, Submarine Group Eight and commander, Allied Submarines, Mediterranean, Naples, Italy. Stanley is currently serving as deputy director, Submarine Warfare Division, N77B, Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Va.
