General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army National Guard Col. Jerry M. Rivera for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. Rivera is currently serving as the assistant adjutant general (Army), Guam Area Command, Guam Army National Guard, Fort Juan Muna, Tamuning, Guam.
