Flag Officer Announcment
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Navy Vice Adm. Timothy J. Keating for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as director, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Keating is currently serving as commander, U.S. Naval Forces, U.S. Central Command, and commander, Fifth Fleet, in Bahrain.
