The Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Charles S. Abell will host the DoD National Disability Mentoring Day in observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at 10 a.m. EST. The event will be held in the Pentagon Hall of Heroes on the Concourse. The keynote speaker will be John D. Kemp, a nationally acclaimed executive and advocate.
This is the kick-off ceremony for DoD's 2003 E-mentoring Program for College Students with Disabilities. Reception follows with an exhibit of assistive technology available through the DoD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program for use by employees with disabilities in telework and on-site throughout the Department.
Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon’s North Parking entrance at 9:30 a.m. for an escort.
