Flag Officer Announcements
VICE ADMIRAL
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:
Navy Rear Adm. Walter B. Massenburg has been nominated for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as commander, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. Massenburg is currently serving as assistant commander for Aviation Depots, AIR-6.0, Naval Air Systems, Patuxent River, Md.
REAR ADMIRAL (LOWER HALF)
Navy Capt. Timothy J. McGee has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). McGee is currently serving as vice commander, Chief of Naval Research, Arlington, Va.
