FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Rear Admiral John J. Mazach, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade
of vice admiral and assignment as Commander Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic
Fleet in Norfolk, Virginia. Rear Admiral Mazach is currently serving as
Director, Strategic and Policy Division, N3/N51, Office of the Chief of Naval
Operations, The Pentagon.
Rear Admiral Mazach was born January 10, 1944 in Coffeyville, Kansas.
