DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Jesse D. Mizener, 24, of Auburn, Calif., was killed Jan. 7 in Baghdad, Iraq. Mizener was killed when a mortar round hit the Logistics Base. Mizener was assigned to the 542nd Maintenance Company, 44th Corps Support Battalion, 593rd Corps Support Group, Fort Lewis, Wash.
The incident is under investigation.
