General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president made the following nominations:

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Richard F. Natonski has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Natonski is currently serving as deputy commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and commanding general, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Timothy F. Ghormley has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Ghormley is currently serving as director, Manpower Plans and Policy, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department, Headquarters Marine Corps, Quantico, Va.

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Robert C. Dickerson, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Dickerson is currently serving as commanding general, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Richard S. Kramlich has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Kramlich is currently serving as commanding general, 1st Force Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Samuel T. Helland has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Helland is currently serving as assistant deputy commandant, Aviation, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, D.C.
