DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Philip G. Rogers, 23, of Gresham, Ore., died April 4, in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his military vehicle. Spc. Rogers was assigned to the Armys 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.

The incident is under investigation.
