DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Maj. Michael B. Stack, 48, of Lake City, S.C., died April 11in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, while his unit was conducting combat operations. Stack was assigned to the Armys 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
The incident is under investigation.
