GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Maj. Gen. Michael D. McGinty, United States Air Force, for
appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief
of staff, personnel, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon,
Washington D.C. McGinty is currently assigned as director, personnel programs,
education and training, deputy chief of staff, personnel, Headquarters United
States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington D.C.
McGinty was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Waukegan, Ill.
