DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Christopher Ramirez, 34, of McAllen, Texas, died April 14 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, from injuries sustained during combat operations. Ramirez was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.
The incident is under investigation.
