DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. Daniel P. Unger, 19, of Exeter, Calif., died May 25 in Forward Operating Base Kalsu (Iskandariyah, Iraq) during a rocket attack. Unger was assigned to the Army National Guards 1st Battalion, 185th Armor, 81st Separate Armor Brigade, Visalia, Calif.

The incident is under investigation.
