DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Christopher A. Wagener, 24, of Fairview Heights, Ill., died July 1, in Mosul, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit a land mine. Wagener was assigned to the Armys 10th Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.
The incident is under investigation.
