DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. 1st Class Torey J. Dantzler, 22, of Columbia, La., died July 22, in Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated on the side of the road near his convoy vehicle. Dantzler was assigned to the Army's 66th Transportation Company from Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The incident is under investigation.
